CineBridge Tag Tracker transforms the real world markers into precise measurable 3D data objects — in real time.
By recognising uniquely identifiable visual tags within video camera footage, it instantly calculates the exact position, orientation, and identity of each tag relative to the camera and the real-world coordinate system.
This enables powerful applications across robotics, construction, film, virtual production and research — anywhere accurate camera or object tracking is required.

HOW DOES IT DO IT?
- Stand-alone real-time Tracking Workstation
- Tags are printed or displayed images similar to QR-Codes
- A calibrated video camera or web-camera tracks the 3D position and orientation of the Tags
- Move a Tag in the real-world and any assigned "Digital Asset" moves in the digital world
- "Digital Assets" can be anything from 3D models, particle and chemical simulations, animated characters, factory assets or entire buildings to name a few.

At its core, the CineBridge Tag Tracker uses advanced computer-vision algorithms to interpret the visual information captured by a calibrated camera.
Each printed tag contains a unique binary pattern, allowing it to be recognised and decoded even when viewed from extreme angles or partial occlusion.
Capture
A live video feed from a supported camera (webcam, industrial, or film camera) is sent to the Tag Tracker system.Detection
The system locates each visible tag in the image and analyses its geometry and contrast profile to determine its unique ID.Pose Estimation
Using the known intrinsic calibration (lens parameters) and the physical tag size, the software calculates the 3D position and orientation of each tag relative to the camera.Coordinate Alignment
The detected tag poses are converted into a shared world coordinate space, allowing multiple systems, sensors, or virtual environments to stay spatially consistent.Streaming & Integration
The resulting 3D transforms are streamed live via CineBridge Streamline into Unreal Engine, Unity, or external custom applications — enabling real-time AR overlays, motion tracking, and visualisation.
The entire process runs continuously at video frame rates, making the Tag Tracker suitable for real-time virtual production, robotic feedback, and scientific measurement.
